The Department of Mathematics was established in 2016 as part of the Tungal School of Basic & Applied Sciences, Jamkhandi, with a vision to provide high-quality education in mathematics. The department is dedicated to nurturing analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills, empowering students with a strong mathematical foundation essential for higher education, research, and diverse career opportunities.

The B.Sc. in Mathematics program was inaugurated in 2016 by our Hon’ble Chairman, Shri Ashok K. Tungal, and Member Trustee, Dr. Laxmi A. Tungal.

Since its establishment, the Mathematics Department has remained committed to academic excellence and innovation. Our primary goal is to foster critical thinking and quantitative reasoning, equipping students with the skills necessary to analyse complex problems, interpret data, and apply mathematical principles in real-world scenarios.

We strive to create an engaging and interactive learning environment where students not only master theoretical concepts but also develop practical problem-solving abilities through hands-on learning, research projects, and interdisciplinary applications.
